Velvet, dba of Eye Studio, LLC Secures the Velvet and Velvet Eyewear Trademarks from K2, a Jarden Corporation

New York, NY, July 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The deal between Eye Studio, LLc and K2 (Jarden Corporation) was inked in 2010 and finalized this week, as all the contractual obligations have been met. The Velvet Trademarks are registered all over the world for eye wear, sunglasses, goggles, and related accessories. The founder, Cindy Hussey, originally started Velvet in 1999, sold to K2 in 2003, and purchased the Velvet brand back in 2010. Said Hussey, "Velvet is so much a part of me. The sacrifices and rewards are so huge in creating and owning your own brand. I am happy."

Velvet is currently distributed in Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Henri Bendels, and numerous Optical shops in the US. There are plans for International expansion and Velvet brand extensions.
