Two New Physicians to Join OrthoNeuro in August 2013
OrthoNeuro announced today that doctors Nicholas Cheney, DO and Michael Skeels, DO will join their multi-specialty physician group in August 2013. Dr. Cheney's practice emphasis will include: ankle athroplasty, heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, fractures, and foot/ankle sport injuries. Dr. Skeels practice emphasis will include interventional spine procedures and acute pain management.
Columbus, OH, July 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- OrthoNeuro announced today that doctors Nicholas Cheney, DO and Michael Skeels, DO will join their multi-specialty physician group in August 2013.
Nicholas Cheney, DO
Dr. Cheney is a graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed both his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Following residency, Dr. Cheney completed a foot and ankle fellowship with the Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan in Grand Rapids. Dr. Cheney specializes in foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Cheney is excited to bring new and innovative techniques in treating foot and ankle disorders to Columbus. His practice emphasis will include: ankle athroplasty, heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, fractures, and foot/ankle sport injuries.
Dr. Cheney will be moving to Columbus in August with his wife and two kids. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, golfing, and following collegiate sports (especially the Buckeyes).
Dr. Cheney is now accepting new patients. He will begin treating patients on August 12th at OrthoNeuro’s Westerville, New Albany, and Downtown locations and the new Dublin office at 6770 Avery Muirfield Dr. when it opens in September.
Michael Skeels, DO
Dr. Skeels is a graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Skeels completed an internship at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City followed by a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Following his residency, Dr. Skeels completed a fellowship in interventional spine procedures and pain management at the Spine Technology and Rehabilitation group in Fort Wayne, Indiana. During this fellowship, Dr. Skeels received training in cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine procedures, as well as spinal cord stimulator implantation.
Dr. Skeels practice emphasis will include interventional spine procedures and acute pain management. His approach to diagnosing his patient’s pain focuses on finding the exact cause of the pain and tailoring a treatment specific to each individual’s unique situation.
Dr. Skeels grew up in Columbus and is delighted to return to his hometown. He enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, as well as golfing, reading, and cooking.
