Singing Sands Inn Announces Results of Its Facebook Contest for Pet Owners

Maya Beach, Belize, August 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Singing Sands Inn takes great pleasure in announcing the results of its Facebook contest for pet owners on Facebook. Tasha Sharwar-Johnson, from Cordova, Alaska, has emerged as the undisputed winner of a 4-night vacation for two. Singing Sands Inn takes this time to congratulate her and to say that they are immensely looking forward to welcoming her to their world-class resort in Maya Beach, 7 miles north of the popular town of Placencia, Belize.

The contest was launched on June 26th, 2013 and ended at 5:00 PM on July 31st, 2013. The rules of the contest were simple – contestants needed to enter their favorite photo of themselves and their pet, along with a short caption that elaborated why they should win. Contestants were encouraged to share their entry with their friends on Facebook in order to get the most ‘Votes’ for their photo. The prize at stake was a 4-night stay for two in a well-appointed Garden View Cabana or Garden Flat at Singing Sands Inn, as well as breakfast daily and airstrip transfers between the Placencia airstrip and Singing Sands Inn.

39 hopefuls submitted their photos for a chance to win, along with stories of why their photo should be voted for. There was a total of 1,956 votes cast by the time the contest ended, after which it was clear that voters felt that Tasha’s entry was the most deserving of the prize. The Management and Staff of Singing Sands are excited to welcome her soon to their idyllic, laid back resort in Maya Beach.
