Strategic Partnerships and Some Fun at the Coeur d'Alene Casino
Coeur D Alene, ID, August 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The North Idaho Tourism Summit Committee is excited to announce that the Coeur d'Alene Casino and Resort has been chosen as the venue for the North Idaho Tourism Summit for April 17th, 2014. The Casino will be offering some great hotel room rates for anyone who wants to stay and play and there are some other exciting add on's that will only enhance the Summit for the coming year and years to come. Stay tuned for those updates!
The first three summits happened with a Regional Innovation Grant that the Idaho Department of Labor received and the summits were envisioned and executed by Vicki Isakson who the Summit Volunteer Committee likes to refer to as Queen Mother. Those first three Summits happened on 3/18/09 at Silverwood Theme Park, 10/07/09 at Silverwood Theme Park, and 1/27/10 at Templin's in Post Falls under the grant. This will be the 7th Tourism Summit and summits will continue every year on the third Thursday in April.
When the grant time frame ran out an all volunteer committee took the reins and have successfully put on three, (with the fourth to happen in 2014), more making it a self sustaining event that is still affordable for attendees.
With the Date set for April 17th 2014 from 8-4pm and location secured the Summit Planning Committee, (an all volunteer team of individuals), is looking for individuals that would like to join the committee and help make 2014 a Summit to remember!
The next meeting of the Summit Committee will be on August 12th at 10am and will meet at the University of Idaho Coeur d'Alene Campus. If interested please email them at nitsummit@gmail.com.
