Hola! Language Center Offers free Spanish Trial Classes for Preschoolers and Moms
Preparing Children to Succeed in a Multicultural World
Mesa, AZ, September 01, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Hola! Language and Learning Center is offering free trial program for moms and their preschool-age children. The new immersion-style Spanish program, located in the Superstitions Springs Factory Stores of America building, conveys Spanish phrases with quick ease.
“When mom and child learn a new language together, it opens up the child’s mind to make it okay to speak another language,” said owner Inge McKeever. “Moms can prompt their children to repeat the phrases,” she added. “The mother’s enthusiasm will motivate the child.”
During the Spanish trial series, children and their mothers will learn every-day phrases, counting, color words, and many other language skills as part of hands-on activities. When learning body words, the class will be making paper dolls, as cutting, pasting, and coloring aids vocabulary retention. Singing and rhymes will prep the new ears for the language melody.
“Forget the grammar, just repeat the phrases,” is McKeever’s successful training approach. “I am amazed how quickly our students have been learning Spanish,” she said. “It has been working wonders.” ¡Hola! is currently conducting two preschool programs in the morning, several after-school programs for 7 to 16 years old students, and evening classes for adults.
Inge McKeever, from Ecuadorian and Colombian roots, has been an early childhood educator for 18 years. She directed and owned the first bilingual preschool in Seattle, Washington. She opened her ¡Hola! Language Learning studio in the Superstition Springs this July.
The free Spanish exposure series for moms and children will start on September 15, 2007. The classes will be held weekly, on Saturday mornings. For more information, call Inge McKeever at (480) 654-4652 or check the Web site www.hola-language.com.
¡Hola! is located in the Factory Stores of America building, Suite 1104, at 2055 S. Power Rd., on the southeast corner of the Power-Baseline intersection. Visitors are welcome to tour the Spanish studio.
