Leedo Cabinetry Announces Record Cabinet Assembly
Beating their previous record set in 2006, Leedo Cabinetry has set a new company record for number of cabinets assembled in one day.
Houston, TX, August 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- In conjunction with the record sales growth experienced during the first two quarters of 2013, Leedo Cabinetry set a new company assembly record in June.
With an order backlog exceeding $100 million, Leedo Cabinetry has stepped up production levels to meet the increased demand. On June 28, 2013, Leedo’s manufacturing division reported their highest number of cabinets assembled in one day. Totaling 2,769 cabinets, this beats the company’s prior record set in 2006.
Company chairman, George Hagle, says the new record is the result of the investments made in both manufacturing and personnel over the past two years. “With the opening of our European cabinet facility last year, we increased our manufacturing capacity by 50%. Instead of over-extending our employees and equipment at our original framed cabinetry plant, we made the determination to open a second facility dedicated to the production of our European cabinetry line. While this involved heavy investments in real estate, equipment, and personnel, it proved to be the correct decision to handle the volume of multifamily business that Leedo has experienced in the past 18 months.”
Already an established leader in the multifamily cabinet industry, Leedo Cabinetry opened their frameless manufacturing facility in 2012 in order to better serve high-growth urban centers. Both the framed and frameless cabinet lines are manufactured, assembled, and shipped directly from Texas. Currently shipping an average of 2400 cabinets per day, Leedo anticipates that daily production will rise to 3,000 cabinets per day, and the company will supply over 600,000 cabinets to multifamily projects around the country by year end. Leedo president, Ken Hirshman, notes, “While we’ve certainly encountered challenges ramping up plant production to these levels in the last year, I am absolutely confident that our leadership team will continue to do an excellent job managing production levels to meet customer demand.”
