Sarasota, FL, August 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The accounting firm of Koontz & Parkin, CPA, has joined its sister company, the law firm of Koontz & Associates, PL, in expanded quarters at 1819 Main Street, Suite 910, Sarasota, Florida 34236, upstairs from their previous location in the Sarasota City Center.

“A larger office will help us to better separate the accounting operation from the law practice,” said Koontz & Parkin partner Marina Parkin. Koontz & Parkin provides strategic tax planning and comprehensive solutions for federal, state, local and international tax issues.

Partner Jo Ann Koontz has a dual certification as an attorney and CPA, and is well versed in the tax implications of real estate transactions, short sales and foreclosures, as well as other legal matters. An Ohio native, she earned her Bachelor in Business Administration and her law degree from Ohio Northern University.

Parkin is a licensed CPA in Florida and Illinois, and a Chartered Accountant in Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, Canada.
