Sofitel Manila Launches Brigitte Bardot, La Légende Photo Exhibit
Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila pays tribute to Brigitte Bardot, the most iconic French actress of her time, by launching the BB Forever - La Légende Photo Exhibition at Le Bar.

Following the success of its tour in New York, Chicago, Washington, Los Angeles then China and now South East Asia, Sofitel Philippine Plaza is delighted to present the stunning selection of photographs highlighting the legendary Brigitte Bardot’s rise to stardom.

Her exhibition reflects three of the Sofitel’s pillars of French elegance – design and innovation; gastronomy and wine and culture and events.”
An exclusive celebration of the legend’s style and influence paired with a sumptuous menu of French food and premium wines was held last July 30, 2013 at Sofitel Philippine Plaza’s Le Bar. The fabulous event was attended by some of Manila’s crème de la crème, high profile celebrities and media personalities, as well as corporate executives.
An evening of lavish French food and fashion inspired chocolate displays were the culinary highlights featuring some of classic French favorites. Regional Executive Chef for Asia Pacific and Sofitel Philippine Plaza Executive Chef Eric Costille and his team of Master Chefs prepared a lavish French spread starting from artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, live cooking stations serving hot amuse bouche a la minute of Seabass Fillet Lemon Butter, Parmesan risotto, Beef Medallions Mushroom and French Filling Dim sum. As a culinary tribute to the legend, the Pastry Chefs prepared St. Tropez inspired desserts and jewellery handmade pralines. Forever Martini, one of the four St. Tropez inspired cocktails was poured from the ice sculpture resembling the physique of the fashion icon was one of the main attractions of the food and beverage offerings.
Highlighting the event was the elegant St. Tropez-inspired fashion show emulating Brigitte Bardot’s exceptional charisma and timeless style featuring the creations of the internationally acclaimed fashion designer Albert Andrada in the colors of Lancôme’s new Hypnôse palettes. The glamourous gowns were made with French laces, laminous printed tafetta, textured jerseys and tulle with Swarovski components. Albert Andrada says,”” What inspired me the most is Brigitte Bardot’s grace, elegance and unique style, which makes her a standout. I wanted to interpret Brigitte Bardot as an eternal style icon making her relevant until today. L’Oréal Professional and Brand Ambassador Philippe Tordjman recreated the hairstyles she is famous for: beehive hair and messy dos. Lancôme recreated the signature look of the icon – the smoky eyes and the nude lips.
Making the evening even more perfect is the soothing musical soiree rendered by top model and DJ Mia Ayesa with her remix of Brigitte Bardot’s tunes.
The BB Forever - Brigitte Bardot, la légende Exhibition is until the 10th of September at Le Bar with private guided tours. Galette at Le Bar will offer a St. Tropez afternoon tea featuring desserts such as Tropezienne, Meringue lemon tart and Roussillon apricot cake including coffee or tea and premium Billecart Salmon champagne. Spiral will also offer these delectable desserts in the patisserie. Special St. Tropez inspired cocktails will be on offer throughout the exhibition at Spiral’s La Veranda and Le Bar.
