The 17th Annual Dunn's Run to Benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County
What: A 5-mile run/5K run and walk through Deerfield Beach. When: Race begins at 7:30am (Hillsboro Blvd. South of Federal Highway will close at 7:00 a.m.) Starting Line: South of the Main Deerfield Beach Parking located on Ocean Way and SE 2nd Street. Course/Distance: 5M&5K Run Timed (USATF Certified) 5K Walk- (3.10 miles) (not judged or timed). Timing System: The race will use the d-tag timing system.
Deerfield Beach, FL, August 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Grab your running shoes. The 17th Annual Dunn's Run (www.dunnsrun.com) will be held in Deerfield Beach, FL, on Sunday, October 6, 2013. This run benefits The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County (www.bgcbc.org).
Dunn's Run has earned its reputation as the race that signifies the start of the running season in South Florida. The event attracts more than 2,000 runners, walkers and participants. This is a family-friendly event that is fun for everyone regardless of ability. Fun activities including Billy the Marlin, Stanley C. Panther, a bounce house, paint a fire truck and more. The entry fee is $35.00 or less depending on age. All proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
“I can’t believe another year is approaching for Dunn’s Run. This year will be one of the most exciting runs we’ve had due to the new course change,” said Jim Dunn, owner of J.R. Dunn Jewelers and founder of Dunn’s Run. “Thanks to the City of Deerfield, we will now be allowed to go down the entire Deerfield Beach area! Runners and Walkers will enjoy one of South Florida’s natural treasures, the entire coastline of Deerfield Beach.”

Corporate Sponsors, Team Leaders, family and individual participants are encouraged to form teams and run together to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
Breakfast will be provided by Panera Bread. Top fundraisers will receive prizes including Honora pearls, T-shirts, Brooks sneakers, a Garmin Forerunner 210 and much more.
