New Addition to Best Selling Mystery Series

Hendersonville, NC, August 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Author Joe Perrone Jr has announced the release of his latest book, "Broken Promises: A Matt Davis Mystery." This is the fourth in the popular series featuring the fictitious Chief of Police of Roscoe, New York. The others are: "As the Twig is Bent," "Opening Day" (an Indie B.R.A.G. medallion recipient), and "Twice Bitten."

The book centers around the senseless murder of an 86-year old widow, Maggie McFarland, known locally for tying the best trout flies in the Catskills. There is no apparent motive nor are there any suspects. The only clue is a shell casing from a bullet that dates back to World War II, which was fired through the deceased's heart at close range. Underlying the main story is a sub-plot involving a conflict between a large energy corporation endeavoring to bring a wind turbine farm to Roscoe and those opposed to the project.
