Classic Holidays’ Star Performers Shine at ATHOC Awards
Gold Coast, Australia, August 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Classic Holidays, Australia’s premier Resort and Club Management Company, were again recognized for excellence in multiple categories at the Australian Timeshare & Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC) National Awards Night in July. The awards program is committed to recognizing the excellent talent in the timeshare and holiday ownership industry throughout Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
Classic Holidays and managed resort staff took out three awards:
· Resort Team of the Year: Tiki Village International Resort
· Newcomer of the Year: Brett Shanks – Beach House Seaside Resort
· Corporate Manager of the Year: Mark Dobbie – Corporate Head Office
Facing admirable competition in 2013, judges highlighted the positive team dynamic displayed by all Classic award recipients as the defining factor of their success.
The team from Tiki Village in Surfers Paradise was rewarded for their constant efforts to go above and beyond expectations in customer service.
Honoured for best new recruit, Brett Shanks from Beach House in Coolangatta stood out to judges as "having the most positive influence on change within an organisation."
In the Corporate Manger of the Year category, 21-year industry veteran, Mark Dobbie’s contribution to the growth of Classic Holidays has been phenomenal and this award is deserved recognition of his commitment to continued improvement and excellence.
“Classic Holidays is extremely proud of the results we achieved at the National Awards this year,” said Carole Smith, Classic Holidays’ Chief Operating Officer, “As an organisation, our focus on a strong team culture was imperative to these award winners being recognised for the way they overcame challenges and improved the overall standards of the industry.”
Over the past 35 years, Classic Holidays has grown from humble beginnings to become Australia’s largest privately owned Resort and Club Management Company, responsible for over 650 employees and looking after almost 50,000 club members throughout Australia and New Zealand.
