CASTINGHUB Actress Signs with Major Hollywood Youth Talent Agency
CASTINGHUB member Olivia Medina has signed with Hollywood agency Hollander Talent Group.
Phoenix, AZ, August 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- At just 9 years old, Olivia Medina is already well on her way to becoming a household name and a Hollywood regular having signed with Hollander Talent Group, a major talent agency in Hollywood specializing in young talent. Olivia started with CASTINGHUB, a commercial networking service for those looking to find work and representation in the entertainment industry, and is no stranger to the entertainment industry having participated in “89101”, a production of “Hansel and Gretel” as well as modeled for Still ‘N Motion, a picture company in California.
Why is this exciting news? Hollander Talent Group is a talent agency that works with young performers. Founded in 1996, Hollander represents talent in print, film and television, voice over, and legitimate theater. “As an agency that has always specialized in representing young people, HTG is aware of the unique obstacles and challenges that parents face when navigating their children through the entertainment industry. Our purpose is to help guide young performers, and their parents, through this process. Parents appreciate our open door policy and helpful atmosphere. The children also enjoy feeling that they too are a part of the process” (Hollander Group website). It has talent that has starred in “The Office,” “How I Met Your Mother,” and “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” and works with client such as McDonalds, Verizon, and Nintendo.
Olivia’s mother said, “Her information was submitted to Hollander Talent Group through Casting Hub. They emailed us an invitation to audition on the 27th of July during their Super Saturday. We live in Phoenix so we only have to drive about 6 hours to LA so we headed out that morning where she auditioned through a brief interview and a cold reading with the owner/agents. Afterwards a woman followed Olivia out the door to meet with us as other children went in for their audition. She is a manager who said that she would also like to represent Olivia as her manager. A few days later Hollander Talent Group offered Olivia representation in which we accepted. We are currently pursuing her work permit and as of right now they are going to allow us to travel back and forth between LA and Phoenix because of the short distance - Olivia and I will relocate during busy times and someday permanently if she continues to pursue acting as her career as she gets older.”
Olivia impressed Hollander with the same talent that CASTINGHUB saw 6 months earlier and it was through CASTINGHUB that Olivia was able to discover her passion and talent for acting. This is a great opportunity for Olivia as a select few are chosen to be represented by major Hollywood agencies that look for the best of the best. CASTINGHUB knows that even more good news will be coming from Olivia as she continues to grow and get even better.
