Mindgrub Creates Flood Awareness App for Nevada’s Regional Flood Control District

Baltimore, MD, August 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Mindgrub was sought out by Clark County, Nevada to create a fun and informative mobile application to provide county residents access to current flood conditions. FloodSpot, which is available for iOS and Android, provides users with information on ways to stay safe during flood season in the palm of their hand.

FloodSpot has many features which include interactive flood zone maps, weather reports, and tips on flood safety to assist Clark County residents. The application allows users to report flooded areas, and suggest alternate travel routes. Floodspot also integrates with Facebook and Twitter, allowing users to post updates for friends and family. Mindgrub Games put the finishing touches on the app by creating an in-app 2D running game that teaches flood safety.

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District was established in 1985 with the purpose of creating a master plan to solve flood problems in the Clark County, NV area. The District’s objectives also include regulating flood hazard areas, constructing flood control facilities, as well as protecting the lives and property of residents and visitors.
