FurtherEd Appoints Sigalle Barness as VP of Programming
New York, NY, August 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- FurtherEd is pleased to announce the appointment of Sigalle Barness as its new Vice President of Programming. Sigalle was most recently Director of CLE Programming where she significantly increased the quality and reach of Lawline.com’s courses throughout the country. As Vice President, Sigalle will oversee content development in all of FurtherEd’s Continuing Education divisions.
Over the past few years FurtherEd has expanded from offering continuing education classes for attorneys to also providing it for accountants, real estate brokers, engineers and other professionals. FurtherEd’s fast growth in all verticals is due in large part to its faculty who are not only the top authorities in their fields but amazing teachers. “The professionals who rely on us to keep current and grow their practices could not be in better hands with Sigalle leading the charge,” stated David Schnurman, CEO of FurtherEd.
Over the last two years, Sigalle has been responsible for many initiatives that made it easier for attorneys around the country to complete their CLE classes. This includes launching live CLE events in 7 new markets, starting a one of a kind Bridge the Gap series for newly admitted NY attorneys, hosting Lawconomy, the largest CLE event on the law & economy featuring Ben Stein, and working directly with law firms to create custom content - most recently on Advanced Health Care Law Considerations with John Howley.
“Since I started at FurtherEd, the opportunities to make a difference in how professionals learn have been endless,” stated Sigalle. “I am so lucky to work with such an amazing team, learn from some of the best faculty in the country, and the most exciting part is this is just the beginning.”
