Glycosan BioSystems, Inc. is Proud to Announce the Release of Extracel-LG for Stem Cell Applications
Glycosan BioSystems creates a unique extracellular matrix for animal-free stem cell culturing.
Salt Lake City, UT, September 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Glycosan BioSystems, Inc. is proud to announce the release of Extracel-LG for stem cell applications. As scientists and the general community begin to discover the enormous potential stem cells provide for human therapeutics, the need for a superior, animal-free culturing system is becoming apparent. To address this need for a synthetic extracellular matrix, a Utah based company, Glycosan BioSystems, developed an animal-free hydrogel that can be used by stem cell researchers to culture stem cells. Because Extracel-LG is animal-free, researchers can now take their results from in vitro to in vivo without the need for a new matrix or delivery system. This "translatability" is critical to maintaining accurate experimental results.
As stem cell research continues to gain in popularity, products such as Extracel-LG will help facilitate the ground-breaking research that leads to cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's and cancer.
