TRANSFLO Express Self-Service Kiosks Up 24% Year-Over-Year Stats Show Growing Popularity Among Drivers
Tampa, FL, August 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Use of self-service TRANSFLO Express scan stations from Pegasus TransTech, is on the rise. Pegasus TransTech has increased scan stations 24% year-over-year in Pilot Flying J and Loves truck stops.
Statistics show that when given the choice, many drivers will choose self-service over full-service fuel desk scanning. To meet this demand Pegasus TransTech plans to deploy one to two more scan stations per week for the remainder of 2013.
TRANSFLO Express kiosks are popular for a number of reasons. In a Pegasus TransTech customer survey, carriers and their drivers indicated that they like the convenience of having both options available. In high-volume stores it reduces the traffic in the store, allowing drivers to scan documents more quickly.
Drivers who use either TRANSFLO Now in-cab scanning or TRANSFLO Mobile smartphone scanning have become accustomed to how easy it is to scan their own documents and review their scans for quality and readability before submission. The self-service kiosks allow them to use this same functionality.
“We can see that drivers are getting comfortable with scanning documents themselves, and that is working out for the truck stops as well. In fact, recently, Pilot Flying J has been adding kiosks to its locations on a weekly basis,” Helms said.
