Boutique Vermont Inn Unveils New Look, Suites and Introductory Rates
Charlotte, VT, August 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Situated in the heart of Vermont’s Champlain Valley with stunning views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains, the Mt. Philo Inn is opening its door as a weekend getaway after an extensive renovation that includes upgraded kitchens and bathrooms, new beds and bedding, landscaping and signage.
The property most recently functioned as long-term apartment rentals, but is now a boutique inn that welcomes guests staying two nights or longer.
“We are catering to travelers looking for the privacy and comfort of a country home, but with the amenities of a boutique hotel,” said innkeeper David Garbose.
Thinking sustainably about the inn’s renovations and redesign, the owners preserved the inn’s original woodwork, sourced local building materials, commissioned artwork from local artisans, and decorated with a minimalist and eclectic style.
The Mt. Philo Inn offers four spacious suites, ranging from 1,300 to 1,800 square feet. The 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom suites are located in separate wings of the building. Featuring a private entrance and porches, each suite has been upgraded with a full kitchen equipped for cooking and entertaining, and stocked with a breakfast basket of Vermont products. Bathrooms feature showers and vanities made from Danby marble quarried in Vermont, and Vermont-made organic soaps and other natural amenities. Anichini sheets add a luxurious touch to the handcrafted beds.
Working with The Image Farm in Middlebury, Vermont, the Mt. Philo Inn created a new brand identity that reflects the spaciousness, warmth and simple elegance of the renovated property. Local artist Homer Wells transformed the new logo into signage for the inn using spun aluminum and translucent paint, his signature technique that produces a stained glass affect.
