Fifth Annual Devil's Chase to be Run Live and Virtually in Salem, MA to Benefit Local Non Profit
B&S Fitness LLC (http://www.bnsfitness.com/)—the Boston area's largest provider of fitness programs, is once again hosting its Devil's Chase, a Halloween-themed 6.66 mile run. However, this year, there is also an option to run it virtually. Both races will help support the Plummer House, a local non-profit organization. All race participants will receive a custom Devil's Chase tech shirt, custom bib, finisher's medal, along with other race giveaways.
Salem, MA, August 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- B&S Fitness LLC (http://www.bnsfitness.com/)—the Boston area's largest provider of fitness programs, is once again hosting its Devil's Chase, a Halloween-themed 6.66 mile run. However, this year, there is also an option to run it virtually. Both races will help support the Plummer House, a local non-profit organization. All race participants will receive a custom Devil's Chase tech shirt, custom bib, finisher's medal, along with other race giveaways.
The virtual race allows runners to participate from anywhere in the world: runners simply need to register for the race and complete the full 6.66 miles of the race, and then submit their race time, name, and details. The live event will start at 8 a.m. on October 26, at Salem Willows Park, but the virtual racers can complete the event and submit times at any point after 12 a.m. on October 25 and before 12 a.m. on October 27. The race benefits the Plummer Home Health Scholarships set up by B&S Fitness to provide these less-fortunate boys with a financial resource to provide them access to fitness-related opportunities that would not be available otherwise.
Brandi Dion, President of B&S Fitness explained, “One of our main objectives in creating a virtual Devil's Chase is to bring this unique event to the masses which extends the reach of the fund raising efforts, while doing so in a fun way." She continued, "Multiple prizes will be offered at different times to create a buzz around the event, including some big prizes, such as round trip airfare to Salem, hotel accommodations, and race entries for two for the 2014 Devil’s Chase.”

Lister, Executive Director of the Plummer House, stated, “We are honored and so grateful to B&S Fitness to be a part of the Devil’s Chase for the fifth year, and we know that the virtual race will not only help us raise much needed funds for our boys, but also give the Plummer Home and its mission more far-reaching exposure.”
Awards will be given to male and female winners of the live event in each age category. The first 50 virtual runners who post scores will be placed into a raffle to receive airfare, race entry fees, and hotel accommodations to the 2014 Devil's Chase in Salem, MA. Prizes will also be given out for best Devil and Halloween costumes virtually and at the actual event.
