Mumford & Sons Fans to Attend Summer Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers in Style
New York, NY, August 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Gentlemen of the Road and ‘ZinePak Revolutionize Concert Ticketing Experience
Fans visiting the four small cities set to host the Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers in the U.S. and Canada this summer are in for a special treat. The weekend-long music events, hosted and curated by GRAMMY-winning Mumford & Sons, feature a dozen other top performers including Fun., The Alabama Shakes, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The Stopovers showcase local artisans, vendors, and regional foods, highlighting the unique qualities of the host communities, which in 2013 include Simcoe, Ontario (Canada); Troy, Ohio; Guthrie, Oklahoma; and St. Augustine, Florida. Thanks to a partnership between Gentlemen of the Road and New York-based entertainment company ‘ZinePak, the fan experience will be in full swing long before concertgoers arrive in town.
In lieu of traditional paper tickets, all 135,000+ fans attending the stopovers will receive a “passport” guide, commemorative ticket, and wristband created by ‘ZinePak. The passports, which are customized for each city and feature variable data for ticketholders, include 24 pages of editorial about the artists, the host city, and local businesses.
“‘ZinePak executed the editorial and design of the tickets, and oversaw the production with U.S.-based vendors. “We are united in Mumford and Sons’ mission of honoring small towns and local businesses across the globe, and we carried that mission throughout our creative process,” said ‘ZinePak co-founders Brittany Hodak and Kim Kaupe.
Enhancing the fan ticketing experience was a natural progression for ‘ZinePak, which has been adding value to recorded music with its magazine-meets-CD configuration since January 2011. “We’re so excited that our first project in the ticketing space is for a festival headlined by a group we love and respect as much as Mumford and Sons,” said Kaupe.
Mumford fans are already showing their love for the revolutionized ticketing experience on social media. Early unaided reactions on Instagram using #GOTR include: “Coolest concert ticket I’ve ever gotten,” “This passport is full of handy tips,” and “Whoever designed these Mumford and Sons passport tickets, I Love You.”
“Seeing the fan reaction on social media has been really amazing,” added Kaupe.
