Green House Data Will Break Ground on a New Data Center
Company is at 95% Capacity of Existing Facility.
Cheyenne, WY, August 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Green House Data, a leading provider of cloud hosting, colocation, and a VMware® vCloud powered partner, today announced it will break ground on a new data center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The 35,000 square foot (sq. ft.) facility will be located at 340 Progress Circle, with the first phase of the project scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter 2014.
Green House Data chose the location in the Cheyenne Business Parkway for proximity to existing infrastructure and potential for growth. In addition, Wyoming offers protection from natural disasters, and the central location paired with Green House Data’s 100 gigabit per second (Gbps) network and carrier redundancy means low latency to data center hubs nationwide.
“We began planning a new build as we neared capacity in our current facility,” said Shawn Mills, President, Green House Data. “We’re now above 95% occupied, and this expansion will help position our existing customers for growth as well as allowing us to offer colocation and disaster recovery options to organizations on either coast.”
The data center is being developed in partnership with fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty, LLC.
The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public and will take place at 10 a.m. on August 27th, 2013 and will be attended by Wyoming Governor Matt Mead. Attendees are asked to reserve their space at www.greenhousedata.com/RSVP.
