Esteem Me Montessori & Creative Play Opens Its Doors with Help from Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Innovative Montessori Preschool and Drop-Off Care Facility Celebrated Grand Opening with Local Philanthropic Organization.
Cary, NC, August 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Esteem Me Montessori & Creative Play, a year-round, full- and part-time quality childcare center for children ages six weeks to six years, held its grand opening celebration with a day of fun and philanthropy Aug. 17. With the help of the North Carolina Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht, owner Kareema Martinez cut the ribbon and opened the doors to Cary’s newest educational facility, located in the renovated Waverly Place shopping center.
During the event, children made inspirational art projects to be given as gifts to young people in their community who have or are currently battling blood cancers as they return to school. For some, returning to school after an extended stay in the hospital is a difficult transition, and Esteem Me hopes to encourage self-esteem and confidence in these children through these inspirational crafts made by their peers. Additionally, families had the chance to learn more about Esteem Me’s preschool and drop-off care offerings. Children enjoyed a performance by the Traveling Teacher Show and played in Esteem Me’s Creative Play Center.
