Online Reservation: Reservation System Expanded
Internet service provider Bitpalace adds a programming interface (“API”) to its reservation program rental solution. Users of booking schedules can now also use their own logo and individual colors.
Chicago, IL, August 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Bitpalace reservation system is a rental solution running in a web browser. It enables users to manage reservations of items and rooms from anywhere. At a very low monthly charge users can create an unlimited number of schedules for different applications, while maintaining an overview of who booked what resource for which period.
Some companies use the Bitpalace reservation system to manage their vehicle fleet or shared conference room bookings or the usage of hardware such as beamers, tools and notebook computers. Clubs use it to supervise the booking of tennis courts, swimming pools, bowling alleys and coaching hours. The system also allows hirers to stay on top of hiring periods for boats, beach chairs and buses, while restaurants use it to manage their tables. Hotels and guesthouses schedule occupancies of rooms and suites. Resources can be determined freely. Therefore, the rental solution is not limited to the above mentioned examples, but can be applied to anything that can be reserved.
Bitpalace now expanded the schedule by including a programming interface (“API” – Application Programming Interface). This makes it easy for external websites to request whether an item, vehicle or a room is available during a desired period. An external website can provide immediate feedback to users whether the desired booking is possible or not, without requiring the user to log into the reservation system. Small hotels and guesthouses, for example, for whom integrated hotel software with real-time online booking is too expensive, can easily schedule their room occupancy in a web browser and display the occupancy schedule on their website for people inquiring about vacancies online.
With just a few mouse clicks it is now also possible to customize the user interface of the reservation system by changing colors and adding a logo. As part of the reservation software update the system’s response time has been improved and language files have been revised. The reservation program can be used by an unlimited number of simultaneous users and is available in seven languages, including German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Suomi (Finnish). The low monthly rental fee includes the reservation software, a domain, web space, a database, e-mail and an unlimited number of user accounts and transactions.
