5th Mega Tree Plantation Drive Held to Celebrate the Birthday of Baba Ram Rahim Ji

Sirsa, India, August 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- On 15th August this year, the world became greener and more prosperous than ever. This day marks the birthday of Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan (also referred as Saint Baba Ram Rahim Ji/ Baba Ram Rahim Ji/ Gurmeet Baba Ram Rahim Ji), coinciding with India's Independence Day. On this occasion, Dera Sacha Sauda organized the 5th Mega Tree Plantation Drive under the directions of its spiritual head Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan (Baba Ram Rahim Ji). As soon as Revered Guru Ji inaugurated the drive, the followers got engaged to execute this unique campaign all over the globe. Dera Sacha Sauda followers planted 35,22,081 saplings throughout India, whereas the total figure for the globe including other countries counted to 35,36,263 saplings planted in a single day. Dera assigned a massive ground near Motor Number 22 at Shah Satnam Ji Dham, Dera Sacha Sauda Sirsa (India) to initiate plantation. But as usual, even the massive space could not accommodate the passion of the followers for the drive and the entire ground got covered with saplings all over in no time. Guru Ji reached at the inauguration venue in a car named “Agro Jetter,” designed by Guru Ji Himself, with a unique feature to store all agricultural tools. Revered Guru Ji inaugurated the campaign at 10:51 am by planting an Amla (Indian Gooseberry) plant. Dera Sacha Sauda based in Sirsa, Haryana (India) is having multiple branches across India & other countries and from last 4 years, is consistently putting massive efforts to plant as many trees as possible across the globe. Dera has been instrumental in undertaking activities for the benefit of humanity and Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has constantly been a guiding force to the followers. Naming this welfare activity as “Nature Campaign,” Guru Ji spread the message to save nature from increasing global warming by planting as many trees as possible. The pace, with which trees are being cut for modernization, has put a serious threat for coming generations. So, planting trees is the need of hour and every person on earth has to undertake this responsibility. Guru Ji started this exemplary campaign on 15th August 2009 as a Mega tree plantation drive by planting lacs of trees on a global scale in just couple of hours. Every year since then, the National Independence Day is celebrated with a Mega Tree Plantation Drive across the globe. Revered Guru Ji inaugurates the drive in Sirsa by planting saplings following which followers of Dera Sacha Sauda & members of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S' Welfare Force Wing ( a force created and trained by Guru Ji specifically for providing relief towards disaster management) plant trees in India and other countries simultaneously. Almost every state of the nation and many foreign countries take part in the drive. The active participation of huge number of volunteers and simultaneous plantation of trees on a global scale has also resulted in 3 Guinness World Records in the name of Dera Sacha Sauda. The first one is for the first plantation drive held on 15th August 2009, for planting 6,873,451 saplings in 367 locations by 169,920 volunteers in a merely 8 hours. Dera Sacha Sauda made another World Record in the year 2011, for planting 1,945,535 plants in just one hour by 340,250 volunteers in 408 locations simultaneously. The figure jumped to 2,039,747 plants on 15-Aug-2012 for the number of plants planted in just one hour. The drive apart from planting more saplings also encourages people to take care of them by providing them adequate water, manure and guard for any miscreants till the time they grow into trees.
