Release of first YA novel

Eugene, OR, August 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The children's book author, Giniece Parente, of Cottage Grove, Oregon has released her first YA fiction novel. It is available now on the amazon website at the Kindle store. The book, "Tale of the Sword," is the first installment of the Sword Bearer series. It is a fantasy/action adventure novel written for young adults with a strong female character lead. The book follows a young heroine who begins a long journey to fight oppression. She finds trouble and friendship along the way. This is her story and how she learns to deal with over coming adversity.

The author, Giniece Parente, is the author/illustrator of two previously published children's picture books; Wanderjahr and Treasure of the Universe. This is her first full length novel and her first fiction title. The second installment of the series, Rise of the Avenger, is coming soon. The book is only available as a digital book for the time being but will be made available in print at a later date.
