Bradley Beach "Thank You, Neighbor" Festival Receives Over 50 Recognitions in 10 Days Already 50 Bradley Beach Good Neighbors Recognized

NJ shore town's celebration of good neighbors -- Thank You, Neighbor -- is off to a fantastic start. In just 10 days, more than 50 neighbors have been recognized. The September 28 celebration will be a smash!

Bradley Beach, NJ, August 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Bradley Beach’s first annual “Thank You, Neighbor” receives an overwhelming response of individuals recognizing their neighbors as Good Neighbors.

"We are delighted with the response to our celebration of good neighbors in Bradley Beach," says Library Director Janet Torsney. "People have been recognized for a variety of good deeds. At this rate, we could have 100 people celebrating their neighbors at the Thank You, Neighbor event on September 28, 2013 between 1-3pm on the library lawn."

Certainly, the ease and brevity of recognizing a neighbor for a good turn is one reason for the response. A very creative submission for recognition came in the form of a poem:

"Shovels snow,
Waves hello,
Helps in a crunch,
Invites us to brunch,
Checks on our place,
Just in case."

Thank You, Neighbor forms can be submitted to the Library (511 Fourth Avenue) through September 13. There is no limit to the number of neighbors who can be recognized. Forms are available at the Library and on its website www.bradleybeachlibrary.org.

The “Thank You, Neighbor” celebration is scheduled for September 28th, from 1 to 3 pm at the Library, rain or shine. Good neighbors -- and the people who recognized them -- will come together to relax and enjoy desserts and entertainment.

Thank You, Neighbor is sponsored by The Bradley Beach Public Library and the Friends of the Bradley Beach Library. Partners include the Bradley Beach Elementary School, Borough of Bradley Beach and Bradley Beach Chamber of Commerce
