Tses Glass Receives LOI to Supply Namibia Breweries Limited with Quality Glass Products
Tses, Namibia, August 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Tses Glass (Pty) Ltd, the premier glass manufacturing company in Namibia, today has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) to supply Namibia’s largest brewer, Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL), with world's class glass products at a competitive market price. Tses Glass has also received an interest to supply SABMiller’s brewery being developed in Okahandja, Namibia, with 35 million returnable 750ml glass bottles.
In July 2013, Tses Glass signed a Project Management and Engineering Agreement with Germany-based Heye International GmbH for the development of the Tses Glass 250tpd Container Glass plant in Tses, Namibia. Heye International is one of the foremost suppliers of glass technology, high performance solutions, and know-how to the container glass industry worldwide. Hence Tses Glass assures they will produce world class glass products in order to meet its customers’ needs.
"This LOI implies a great milestone for the realization of the Tses Glass project in a very short time since we started with its development in March 2012. And our next to-do is for Tses Glass to apply for the Infant Industry Protection to ensure a sustainable manufacturing and operation," states Simon Kapenda, Co-founder and Managing-Director of Tses Glass.
Tses Glass is being developed to have all four separate manufacturing plants in a single location in Tses, Southern Namibia; starting out with a 250 tons per day Container Glass Plant, 600 tons per day Float Glass Plant, 350 tons per day Tableware Glass Plant, and 200 tons per day Ultrathin Glass Plant, making it the largest dynamic glass manufacturing hub in the world.
The development of the Tses Glass project expects to create more than 230,000 new direct and indirect better paying job opportunities in Tses and throughout Namibia. The construction of the Tses Glass Container Glass will start in May 2014 and be completed 26 months later.
