Fold-a-Cover G4 Elite and Personal Caddy Now Available for 2014 GM Silverado and Sierra
The Fold-a-Cover G4 Elite and Personal Caddy are now available for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the 2014 GMC Sierra with a new streamlined installation.
Caledonia, MI, August 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Fold-a-Cover G4 Elite and Personal Caddy are available for the new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. Currently, the G4 Elite is only available for the 5’6” and 6’6” box lengths due to GM’s staged release of the new trucks. Covers for the 8′ boxes are in development and will be ready when 8′ boxes become available from GM.
Steffens Automotive recently had a brand new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab into the Research and Development lab to install a Fold-a-Cover G4 Elite and Personal Caddy. The purpose of the install was to highlight the updated installation process which has been streamlined with the new 2014 GM models.
With the updated installation process, alignment of the Wind Seal Rails has been simplified. By inserting a Well-Nut into existing holes near the tailgate of the truck, getting the Wind Seal Rails in the correct position is easier than ever and, because the cover utilizes existing holes this is a no-drill installation. Additionally, the Center Latch and Weather Seals now come pre-installed, removing multiple steps from the installation process. The rear stake pockets have been left open by design to be used as a handle when stepping up into the truck bed. And lastly, the front striker clamp brackets no longer utilize the front stake pockets but simply clamp directly onto the truck bed rails.
The video also highlights installation of the Personal Caddy, a companion cargo management system that works in tandem with the G4 Elite hard folding tonneau cover. The Personal Caddy’s installation process is very simple and takes only a few minutes. The Personal Caddy fully integrates with our G4 Elite Fold-a-Cover and sits below the front panel of the cover. This keeps it concealed and makes it independently lockable from the rest of the truck bed making it the perfect spot to store expensive tools or items you don’t want rolling around in the bed of the truck. The Personal Caddy can store up to 10.3 cubic feet depending on the application, and comes with an optional aluminum sliding tray for an added level of organization.
