South African Wines, Including the Wines of Golf Legend Retief Goosen, Music and Cuisine Showcased at the South African Food & Wine Festival
Gum Spring, VA, August 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The wines of golf legend Retief Goosen will be showcased at the 8th annual South African Food & Wine Festival, September 14th & 15th 2013 at Grayhaven Winery, Gum Spring, Virginia. The festival invites wine lovers, foodies and families to learn about South Africa through this two day celebration of South African culture, food, wine and music.
Visitors will taste a spectacular line-up of over 30 wines from Anwilke, MAN Vintners, Fairview Estates, Badenhorst, Kanonkop, and others as well as Grayhaven Winery’s own award-winning Virginia wines. South African wine experts, including Jean-Baptiste Cristini of Fairview Estates and winemaker Francois Bezuidenhout of MAN Vintners and will be on site to share their experiences, knowledge and stories. This unique festival also provides the rare opportunity to taste traditional South African dishes such as Boerewors and Biltong as well as South African themed deserts like Amarula Gelato. South African musical performances by Tuelo & Her Cousins, Sharon Katz & friends and Mirka. The legendary choreographer, dancer, producer & radio personality Sduduzo Ka Mbili and special guests such as the celebrated American tap dancer Omar Edwards will perform throughout the weekend – paying homage to the dance traditions and modern rhythms of South Africa. The festival is sponsored by South African Airways, who will be giving away two round trip tickets to South Africa at the event.
