Engineered Software, Inc. has been granted a speaking spot at the 2007 Chem Show Educational Conference. Engineered Software’s Chief Engineer, Ray Hardee P.E. will be presenting, the paper “Using a Piping System Model for Process Safety Management.”
Lacey, WA, September 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Engineered Software, Inc., the leading provider of software used to design and simulate the operation of fluid piping systems announced today that it has been granted a speaking spot at the 2007 Chem Show Educational Conference. The Chem Show is North America's largest process equipment and technology exposition, and will be taking place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
The Chem Show Educational Conference addresses topics important to the Chemical Process Industries. Engineered Software’s Chief Engineer, Ray Hardee P.E. will be presenting the abstract “Using a Piping System Model for Process Safety Management,” on Thursday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Javits Center. Engineered Software will also be displaying its entire product line at Booth 1341 throughout the show.
“I am proud to be presenting my white paper at the Chem Show in New York City,” said Ray Hardee, P.E. and Chief Engineer at Engineered Software, Inc. “An effective process safety management program requires a clear view of the entire process, and I think sharing the possibilities offered by using a piping system model will be very helpful in developing an effective Process Safety Management program.”
The OSHA mandated standard for Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals requires a systematic approach for evaluating the process including the process design, process technology, operational and maintenance, emergency preparedness plans, along with a training program. This white paper presentation is part of the Chem Show Educational Conference, Smooth, Safe and Secure Processes Track.
“Process Safety Management Programs are only part of the many functions that our software offers, and if we can continue to provide a beneficial and convenient tool that serves many purposes, then I think we really have something special,” Hardee said. “It really comes down to what our customers’ need and how we can effectively solve their problems.”
The PIPE-FLO product line is used by designers and operators to gain a clear picture of their fluid piping systems. The program allows users to design, analyze, troubleshoot, and simulate their fluid piping systems in a familiar format. The software also calculates system operations, allows for easy communication of the system design with others and provides access to supporting documents in an electronic format.
