Centel Media Goes Fishing for New Press Secretary
With the new addition of Matthew Shaffer as Centel Media’s Editor-In-Chief, Centel Media introduces another new member to its team. Courtney Fisher will now be creating press releases for the online reputation management and SEO company, along with blogs and other content.
New York, NY, September 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Centel Media is proud to introduce its newest Assistant Press Secretary, Courtney Fisher. Previously a creative writing intern, Fisher's excellence quickly stood out to Editor-in-Chief Matthew Shaffer and CEO Jack Cola, resulting in the promotion to her new role. Fisher is now in charge of creating all press releases, among her continued contribution to Centel Media's blog page.
Fisher was born in the farmlands of western Wisconsin, but has called many different places across the country her home. She was raised in the forests of northern Arizona, and would eventually move to southern Texas, central Vermont, Baltimore, Maryland, Nashville, Tennessee, Georgia, and most recently, the coasts of Delaware. She is well-traveled, having visited 49 of the 50 states, most of Canada, half of Mexico, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Fisher's travels have no doubt inspired her writing, giving her a seasoned voice that translates into each word she crafts.
After graduating from a community college with an associate's degree at only 17, Fisher enrolled at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She went on to earn an M.F.A. in creative writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Fisher's work led her to numerous honors during her time at school, including an invitation to be a featured presenter at the PEAKs Literary conference, her elected position as president of Phi Theta Kappa, a membership at Sigma Tau Delta and an opportunity to attend the national AWP conference.
Although her collegiate accolades speak volumes, her passion for swimming builds upon her deep pool of experience. While working for her English degree, Fisher became an instructor at one of the most highly-regarded swimming facilities in the world. Here, Fisher worked amongst the greatest athletes in the world, hailing from Australia, Germany, Italy, Japan and Norway. She coached alongside gold medalists, such as Stephanie Rice, Kosuke Kitajima, Takeshi Matsuda and Federica Pellegrini. Fisher's active life lends credence to her determination, will and motivation, always pushing her towards success.
As of Aug. 26, 2013, Fisher was promoted to her current position as Assistant Press Secretary, working side-by-side with the Editor-in-Chief to provide strong content to all who've taken time out of their day to invest in Centel Media's affairs. The new role will present even more of a challenge for Fisher, but her success at college and prior position as creative writer have trained her to embrace those challenges. Fisher has shown great promise, and, now with a wider audience, plans to continue delivering the best material to meet public demand. Equipped with extensive experience and an admirable work ethic, Fisher is certainly an appreciated addition to the Centel Media team.
