Grassroots Online Gameshow Aims at Rallying the World to Change One Struggling Family's Life Forever

Salt Lake City, UT, September 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- What would it look like to watch a struggling family be given a new life? Life from Us is a 100% grassroots project aimed at changing lives - one family at a time. And everyone is invited to participate in this hyper-focused humanitarian project, and then watch it online.

“The entire video production team, web and design work, PR, and the three coaches have all committed and contributed their talents with the sole goal of changing this family’s life forever,” says Nathan Wright, founder of the project. “It has truly been amazing to see how quickly people get on board. There is no greater example of humanity than showing compassion and service to a stranger, and so many volunteers have come together to do just that.”

Life from Us is a feel good show that follows the grassroots efforts of the community to help one family change its life forever. The eight-week series will begin airing September 26, 2013 on www.LifefromUs.com.

This first series features the Holley family from Kaysville, Utah. Reese Holley suffers from Schizoaffective Disorder, depression and anxiety. The myriad of medication he is on has now caused him to suffer seizures. As the main breadwinner of the home, his employment has been extremely unstable. His wife Jeannette, is a stay-at-home-mom of three young children. Their struggles financially and mentally seem insurmountable, but the love they have for each other is undeniable.

“What would it look like to take a family that is truly struggling and have hundreds, maybe even thousands of us to reach out our hands to help?” asks Wright. “What would life be like for that one family to have a world of compassionate people come together and say, ‘Here is a new Life from Us?’”

For eight weeks, Life from Us will document the successes and struggles of the Holley’s as they work closely with three different life coaches, each one with specialized training that will teach and challenge the family to make the hard decisions that will get them back on track. Meanwhile, the audience on Life from Us will be able to contribute donations. When the family hits financial targets, the pooled donations will be converted into community gifts, designed with the long-term benefit of the Holley’s in mind.
