National Music Services Places Pop, Hip-Hop Artist Jaya Kosa in the Artist Spotlight This Month
Each month National Music Services spotlights a talented new Artist in the Artist Spotlight section of their website. This month in the spotlight is Jaya Kosa.

A Melodic Lyricist/Songwriter born in South West London. Jaya Kosa spent his formative years living in various parts of London before moving to the Southern coast of Brighton.
No stranger to music, Jaya spent many summer holidays in "2 DEEP" Recording Studio with "Tony Ra," "Charles Rockwell" and his Uncle "Ricky Sprakett AKA Ricman" Jaya spent many days among senior DJ's and local Artists in Brixton where he was heavily influenced by all around him creatively.
He was first handed the microphone at the age of 9. Having heard his rendition Tony Ra, Recording Producer and Studio owner, advised him to keep writing, stick to it and finish his education.
Aged 13 Jaya became a member of the group “Sickness Legion” as a Grime MC where he played a large part of the mix CD released "Name Behind The Reputation." Becoming more mature he decided to change direction, thus he decided to pursue music even further, and he wanted to know the ins and outs of his passion and studied a degree in Music Business and Music Technology as his core subject.
By the age of 18 Jaya had musically matured sufficiently to change his delivery to a euphoric sound with influences from Reggae, R'n'B, Dance and Pop. The finished smoother sleek style provides a feel good sound evident in the Youtube release "By My Side" (2007) and "Dance In The Club" (2010) which both had great coastal support and helped to build his fan base greatly.
Having spent the last 6 years seriously writing, making numerous appearances locally in Worthing, Brighton, Essex, London night clubs and parties, he has been featured on BBC Introducing (BBC Essex) on 3 occasions, PlayVybz FM, Upfront Magazine, and a feature in JamsPhere Magazine, he was also interviewed by Ms Dynasty.
He has recently been scooped up by mentors Taz Dmt and Anonymous whose accomplishments for 2013 include the long awaited Trials Fusion SoundTrack and Bjorn Borg UK, MTV Staying Alive Urban Jack's New amazing track "I'm On One."
2013 will be a busy year for Jaya recording a collaboration with Taz and Anonymous on the Summer Reggae Island Pop Track 'Do It Again' due to be released later this year.
