New Player of Real Time Development Solutions Joins the Market as HostQuest, Inc Launches a Developer Suite Platform
HostQuest launches HostQuest Sphere, a scalable real-time communications platform that enables developers to focus on creating multiplayer applications in a secure environment.
Santa Clara, CA, September 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- HostQuest today launched HostQuest Sphere, a scalable real-time communications platform that enables developers to focus on creating multiplayer applications in a secure environment. Utilizing the platform, HostQuest has developed and released RightNow Poker as an example of the flexibility available to a developer.
HostQuest Sphere offers a robust selection of services to which a developer may subscribe at their convenience. With the standard HostQuest platform, developers will have access to a back-end interface that allows for persistent, binary-safe connections. The platform supports server-free simulated peer-to-peer connections without requiring an open port, ensuring user security. For applications that do require server-side logic, HostQuest handles all of the danger and complexity of accepting incoming connections.
“Developing a scalable application with true real-time communication is incredibly challenging,” said Greg Heckenbach, CTO of HostQuest. “HostQuest Sphere simplifies real-time interactivity, enabling developers to focus on their product with confidence.”
Written and developed with the standard API's available in the platform, HostQuest has launched its beta release of RightNow Poker, an online multi-player Texas Hold’em poker game. The platform allows for a persistent connection in a variety of programming languages, including mobile devices and Javascript with WebSocket.
“We developed RightNow Poker as a proof of concept for HostQuest Sphere,” continued Heckenbach. “We wanted to show in real practice what our platform can do. We used HTML5 exclusively for the demo; there are no images to load, everything is being generated as you need it using Canvas and WebSocket.”
HostQuest is now accepting Beta Partners on their website at www.hostquest.com.
