Free Active Shooter Defense Training for School Employees
Our schools and its staff must be prepared for the unthinkable, an active gunman entering their school. It is unfortunately an all too real possibility in today's world. The real first responders are the ones in the building at the time of the attack. Our teachers and school staff must be trained on how to best deal with this type of situation and taught options that can increase the chances of our children's survival.

Fight Fit is here to help its community with personal safety training and self defense. Our teachers and school employees are the first responders inside our schools when it comes to the safety of our children. When the unthinkable happens, those on the scene must be prepared to do what is necessary to increase their chances of survival and the survival of those around them.
With the start of a brand new school year Fight Fit, Northeast Ohio’s only Krav Maga Self Defense Training Center, is providing All school employees with the opportunity to train for free regarding options and defensive techniques against an active shooter. It is sad to think that our school teachers and staff must know techniques and procedures on how to deal with an active gunman inside our schools but this is today’s reality.
"Lockdown procedures that most area schools practice do not train our teachers and staff against a gunman that has made their way inside the classroom" says Sarah Fox, owner and instructor of Fight Fit. "The same Lockdown procedures that have been given to our teachers and children for the past 20 years need to be updated based on the information we have regarding the active shooting events in recent years."
This seminar will cover:
- The need for this training: presentation on stats and profiles of active shooters
- Making a decision: options to evacuate vs. lock ‘out’
- Using your environment to assist you against an active shooter
- Eliminating the threat: physical training against this type of danger
It is important to have as many school employees as possible trained to be able to defend themselves to increase their chance of survival and the survival of those they are responsible for against intruders to their schools and classrooms.
