The Music and Comedy show, which debuts September 7th at Storycrafter Studio on Miami Beach, just got funnier and more fun with the addition of two more entertainers.
Doug's Music & Comedy Night features two hours of standup comedy, spoken word and live music at the Storycrafter Studio on 73rd & Collins on Miami Beach. The show is from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Nick Wagy has performed in Scandinavia, and will be making his debut performance in the States at Storycrafter Studio.
Tim Hanlen is a well-known local comedian who frequently performs at comedy clubs and festivals.
Doug Shear is the author of two books: "Rhubarb Culture" and "American Karma - Twilight of the Marijuana Gods." His stage play Saint Peter at the Gate was performed in Toronto, Canada and Boca Raton, Florida. He is a frequent performer at the popular Miami event Lip Service Stories, held at the Actors Playhouse in Coral Gables, Florida. He also performed A Loophole in Law of Karma at Life Out Loud in Ybor City, Florida.
Joining Comedian Tim Hanlen are two of the hottest local stand-up comedians, Daniel Reskin & Kevin Perry.
Daniel Reskin mixes deadpan joke-craft with theatrical stories. He was named one of the 6 Best Comedy Venues in Miami, and was named The Best Local Comic in Miami by Miami New Times.
Kevin Perry has an amazing ability to turn the tragedy of his life into chunks of laughter as he bears his soul for our amusement. His unique humor allowed him to reach the finals of the South Beach Comedy Fest at the Miami Improv.
Boston-based singer/songwriter Matt Silverstein toured as the lead singer of the band Homebody before going solo. He plays several instruments and is both a performer and music producer.
Actress Shauna Burris will perform a short spoken word piece entitled "Directional Dyslexia" The piece was written by Doug Shear, and was meant to be performed by a man, so that should be interesting. She will also perform a classic Indian dance routine.
Shauna gained significant acting experience and credentials in both theatre and film productions, and played the starring role in the play Flesh and Blooders at Storycrafter Studio, which recently ended a successful run.
