HEALTHCAREfirst Announces New Pediatric Functionality
Ozark, MO, September 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- HEALTHCAREfirst, Inc., today announced that it has enhanced its Web-based home health software to include pediatric functionality, making it one of the only software systems in the industry to support pediatric home health providers in the care of their patients.
HEALTHCAREfirst recognized the unique requirements of pediatric home care providers and collaborated with many of these providers to develop comprehensive functionality that is not only easy to use but addresses their specific needs.
“We are very excited about being able to provide the tools that pediatric home health providers need to effectively and affordably manage their businesses,” said Stan Bell, Vice President of Product Management. “Agencies of all sizes with all types of patients will have the ability to manage the care of even the youngest of patients.”
With this enhanced functionality, home health care providers have the ability to care and bill for pediatric patients through the use of pediatric-specific clinical documentation including Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Providers can also order and/or authorize based on scheduling, including hourly shifts. Pediatric-specific documents and data can be utilized including assessments, care plan summaries and trending information.
For pediatric patients located in Texas, the new pediatric functionality facilitates the population of patient information into the Texas Plan of Care.
