Golden Pond Celebrates National Assisted Living Week with “Homemade Happiness” Theme
Annual celebration honors the contributions of families and professional caregivers in making assisted living communities a home for residents.
Holliston, MA, September 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- In observance of National Assisted Living Week®, September 8 to 14, Golden Pond Assisted Living will sponsor a series of events developed as a special opportunity to bring together residents, families, employees, volunteers and the surrounding community to celebrate “Homemade Happiness.”
The “Homemade Happiness” theme acknowledges the contributions of staff, residents, and families in making the assisted living community a home for residents.
“This year’s theme celebrates the bond created by staff, residents, and families as they build warm, welcoming, and vibrant homes for residents,” said Shelley Ryan, Director of Marketing. “This weeklong celebration demonstrates the commitment assisted living professionals feel when providing care and services to residents in their communities.”
The public is invited to participate in the week’s special events, including:
Sunday, September 8 – Grandparents Day – Pastor Bruce Allen will visit Golden Pond at 9:30 for a special service and social tea in the private dining room.
Monday, September 9 – Golden Pond will host Mark Tavenner, The “Tie Man,” at 10:30 a.m. to entertain residents and guests with a musical performance.
Tuesday, September 10 – Golden Pond will host Periwinkle Metal Designs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during its Jewelry Vendor and Smoothie Day. Delicious smoothies will be available in the lobby for everyone starting at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, September 11 – Make your own pizza with Andrea in Activities. The day will feature current events, volleyball at 1 p.m. and Spanish class at 2:30 p.m.
Friday, September 13 – Residents of Golden Pond will be treated to an ice cream sundae at 2 p.m. to wrap up our fun filled week.
