Book Two of The Merlin Chronicles Trilogy Kickstarter Campaign
Kickstarter Campaign launched to help defray specific costs related to the publication and promotion of "The Sorcerer’s Apprentice" which is the second volume of The Merlin Chronicles, a trilogy of adventure fantasy novels.
Cleveland, OH, September 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Award-winning author and Historian Daniel Diehl has done it again with his critically acclaimed fantasy series The Merlin Chronicles. A seamless blend of Arthurian legend, biblical prophecy, classic wizard fantasy and contemporary urban fantasy that never takes itself too seriously, this refreshing new series creates a world exactly like ours -- except that Merlin and the age of magic have returned full-blast to battle ancient evils and save civilization.
A Kickstarter Campaign fundraiser has been launched to help defray specific costs related to the publication and promotion of "The Sorcerer’s Apprentice" which is the second volume of The Merlin Chronicles, a trilogy of adventure fantasy novels. The first volume in this trilogy, "Revelations: Book One of The Merlin Chronicles" was first released in December 2012 to whooping critical success and is being re-released 9/25/13 with Book II to follow shortly.
"The next big Fantasy read is here." – Black Caviar Book Club
"I have to say this is a bloody awesome book!! I was gripped from the start and can't wait for More." – Orchard Book Club
The author has now completed the manuscript for the next installment of Merlin and Jason’s adventures – The Sorcerer’s Apprentice: Book Two of The Merlin Chronicles. It has been edited and the manuscript sent to GMTA so it can join Volume I in bookstores and on Barnes & Noble and Amazon sites everywhere. "Just need that great cover art like Book One has and it will be ready to go!!"
Without spoiling the story thread by telling you how the first book turns out, here is a very brief explanation of the plot line of books one and two:
Jason Carpenter, a grad student studying archaeology in York, England, inadvertently brings Merlin the Magician into the present day. Once in the open, Merlin is afraid that he will be hunted down and killed by his ancient enemy, King Arthur’s half-sister, the sorceress Morgana le Fay, who has spent the last 1,600 years building a criminal empire that includes every corrupt enterprise known to man. Merlin’s goal is to permanently close a portal that Morgana has discovered which connects our world with another existence where a hoard of dragons waits to gobble up human civilization.
Embarking on a mad international chase that runs from a swanky museum opening in Liverpool England, to the windswept wastes of Mongolia, Jason and Merlin alternately pursue, and are pursued by, Morgana.
By the end of book one they have inflicted severe damage on Morgana’s evil conglomerate but as is true with all good baddies, Morgana is hard to kill.
In book two the wild chase continues with Jason traveling to Ethiopia to discover the secret of how Morgana contacts the dragons while Merlin and Jason’s girlfriend, Beverley McCullough, try to catch Morgana off guard as she prepares to release the dragons from her new headquarters deep beneath the English countryside.
The end of book two is guaranteed to be an absolute shocker that no fan of Merlin will be prepared for.
