Porto in Raleigh & Chapel Hill Launches New, Refined Website with Photography by Peter Christopher Hutson

Raleigh, NC, September 10, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Porto, a home furnishings store with locations in Raleigh and Chapel Hill, has launched a new website that captures the style and ambiance of the showrooms while offering greater access to and information about Porto’s collections, services and special events.

The website – http://www.portohome.com -- was designed by Dave Killian of Killer Creative Group in Raleigh. “I tried to convey the refined colors, warmth and layers of textures that you see when you walk into Porto's showrooms,” he said, “and transform that textural look and feel to Porto's online presence.”

The look of dark, warm wood and rich, red leather greets visitors to the site. A gently changing slide show of images captured in the Raleigh showroom by photographer Peter Christopher Hutson gives the new site a more active, vibrant quality. Streamlined, easy-to-use links take visitors to Porto’s history, business mission, furniture and accessories collections, design services, special events, press releases, and contact information. Sales and other time-limited promotions appear in a standard section on the bottom of the front page.

Porto’s new website was carefully designed to optimize search engine capabilities. And all of the text was rewritten, not only to structure the content to user’s needs and expectations but also to express the business sensibilities and interior design talents of owners Emily Barrett and Michael Perry.

Porto is located in Raleigh at 4151 Main at North Hills and in Chapel Hill’s Eastgate Shopping Center, 1800 East Franklin Street.
