Lyric Light Opera was founded in 2006 with the goal of bringing exceptional, professional productions to the Puget Sound area, featuring the very best of regional talent. Under the watchful eye of Artistic Director, Brenda Mueller, some of the most beloved musicals of all time have been retold in an inspired and uplifting way, highlighted on the magnificent stages of McIntyre Hall and Kirkland Performance Center. Show titles include; Annie Get Your Gun, Brigadoon, The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, The King and I, Camelot, The Music Man, My Fair Lady, South Pacific and most recently—Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
Each show is finely and expertly crafted using both professional and amateur performers of all ages. Lyric Light Opera is the proud pioneer of a unique Mentoring Partnering Program which gives the youngest and most inexperienced actors the opportunity to work alongside seasoned Broadway professionals as well as some of the finest regional talents with full orchestras, magnificent sets and costumes.
