Four healthcare leaders from Carolinas HealthCare System and Novant Health recognized for volunteerism.
Charlotte, NC, September 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives Group (GCHEG) members Steven C. Burke, FACHE; Calvin Hung, FACHE; John W. Roberts, FACHE; and John Tartt, FACHE received American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) 2013 Recognition Awards for their volunteer service. GCHEG President, Jean B. Wester, FACHE, presented the awards at a recent chapter education event in Charlotte.
"Only a few health care leaders are recognized nationally by the ACHE each year," said Ms. Wester, President of Charlotte's independent chapter of the ACHE, "so we're especially honored to have so many on the list from our local chapter, as well as our state Regent, John Roberts." ACHE posts a full list of 2013 Recognition Award recipients at http://www.ache.org/recognition.
Active ACHE members are eligible for recognition at three sequential levels, based on points accrued for volunteer activities that fulfill the ACHE mission of advancing healthcare management excellence. "As past and present chapter officers and volunteers - both on the local and national levels," President Wester continued, "these award recipients demonstrate leadership and dedication to furthering the excellence of our profession. This is a well-deserved honor."
