SteadyRain Partners with Carr Lane Manufacturing for e-Commerce Website Development
St. Louis, MO, September 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Award-winning, St. Louis-based Internet strategy, design and development firm, SteadyRain announces its partnership with Carr Lane Manufacturing, a global tool component manufacturer headquartered in St. Louis, Mo.
Carr Lane Manufacturing contacted SteadyRain for a development project to integrate a web-based product availability, pricing and ecommerce feature that will coincide with the implementation of new internal systems. In addition to this very pointed solution, Carr Lane is also seeking guidance to revitalize its digital presence, further engage online customers on their website and support its business plan to expand into new markets. SteadyRain started the comprehensive digital strategy consulting process, which includes a business overview, digital landscape research, online marketing evaluation and business intelligence in June and has begun to outline the web architecture and development process for the Carr Lane e-commerce digital strategy.
“The Carr Lane Manufacturing story is a common one for SteadyRain. A past client recommended us to Carr Lane and provided us the opportunity to work with this St. Louis landmark firm,” commented Thompson Knox, SteadyRain President. “She has seen the value of our consulting and development solutions and helped to convince the team at Carr Lane we were a great fit. I think we’ve helped them think differently about their opportunities online in our initial meetings and hope to bring consumer-style ease-of-use to their B2B tools. Our goal is to help Carr Lane meet clients’ changing expectations from a customer tools perspective.”
Web consulting deliverables for the Carr Lane Manufacturing e-commerce solution include information architecture and key page wireframing for a website redesign focused largely on the user interface for finding and checking price and availability on their huge product catalog. The project will also include development strategy, coding requirements and integration of these tools with their preferred ERP solution partner.
“Carr Lane Manufacturing is embarking on what is perhaps the largest financial investment in company history in updating and enriching our software capabilities relative to the tracking and coordination of all aspects of our business,” explained Nance Frost, CEO of Carr Lane Manufacturing. “Updating and improving our website was a logical expansion of these efforts and we look forward to what SteadyRain can do for us in this regard.”
SteadyRain and Carr Lane Manufacturing expect parts of the project to successfully launch this winter with the balance of the work launching in conjunction with the new ERP solution sometime next year. The next target will be to work with Carr Lane to increase website traffic and continue to enhance the customer experience on the Web.
