Hilliker Corporation Gets in the Spirit
Client to build a residential adult care facility in St. Louis City.
St. Louis, MO, September 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Hilliker Corporation, a St. Louis owned and managed commercial real estate company, recently represented a company that caters to those with special needs.
The Outreach Center of Christ The Savior (dba Happy Spirit Adult Day Care) recently purchased nearly 1.5 acres for its new Happy Spirit Residential Care facility. The land is located near the corner of Delmar and Vandeventer at 3928 Washington Ave., which is one block from the company’s day care center at 3904 Delmar Blvd. Hilliker Corporation’s Patrick McKay represented the buyer in this $160,000 land purchase.
Founded in 2002 by owner Shelly Gilmore, Happy Spirit Adult Day Care is an 8,000-square-foot building that caters to those individuals who are mentally challenged or physically disabled. The new 40-bed residential facility will be a one-story, 18,000-square-foot building that will provide a safe living environment. The full-service operation includes dining and living areas, as well as a beauty salon for the residents. SGA Architects is the project’s architect for this approximately $1 million building. The company will break ground at the beginning of Nov., and the building will be completed by May of 2014.
“This is positive on so many levels,” said Hilliker Corporation’s Patrick McKay. “New construction in the St. Louis City is pretty rare, plus our client has a history of providing excellent service to the unique market they serve.”
Hilliker Corporation, which targets regional and national entrepreneurs, is St. Louis’ largest locally owned independent commercial real estate company located at 2001 S. Hanley Rd. The firm’s agents, who each average over 15 years of experience, have completed more than 10,000 sales and leases for industrial, office, retail and institutional clients since its inception in 1985.
