Downtown Films Names Jason Miller Chief Operating Officer; Philip Norbert, Executive Producer
Las Vegas, NV, September 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Downtown Films has named Jason Miller chief operating officer (COO) overseeing Downtown Films and Silver State Production Services (SSPS), the destination and motion picture management component of Downtown Films. Philip Nobert is Executive Producer of Downtown Films. Norbert will take charge of new commercial development and special projects.

Jason Miller moved to Las Vegas from Southern California where he was most recently the vice president of global sales for SeaVees water shoes. From 1996 to 2012, he was the national sales and brand manager for Oakley. Miller’s career started in 1988 in the receiving docks at Nordstrom Department store worked he worked his way up to buyer before moving to Oakley.
Philip Nobert brings a wealth of ad agency and commercial production experience to Downtown Films where he will serve as executive producer overseeing the company’s cooperative and commercial production efforts. Nobert was the founder of Kingmaker Productions, a production company that created storytelling video content to span across digital platforms. Prior to that he was the general manager and executive producer of Stella Productions.
Downtown Films has also named Krystal Aguilera, office manager, Justin Folger, production manager and Trevor White, in-house editor.
Downtown Films was established in 2012 by Tony Hsieh, Fred Mosler and Chris Ramirez to service the growing motion picture and film production industry in Nevada. Based in downtown Las Vegas, it has successfully collaborated through film and video production with dozens of partners including Life Is Beautiful Festival, set to take place on Oct. 26, 27, Caesars Palace, Golden Gate Hotel and Casino and Wynn Las Vegas. SSPS is Downtown Films’s production services company. Its partners, operators and crew compile decades of production experience and a successful history of coordinating, supervising and assisting alongside some of the production industry’s most respected producers, cinematographers, directors and agencies. Individual credits include blockbuster franchises such as “The Hangover” and “Hangover Three” along with the Toronto International Film Festival premiered “Think of Me,” starring Lauren Ambrose.
