New Study by Sterling Consultants Reveals Worries About Obamacare Among Private Healthcare Practitioners
Healthcare practice owners anticipate reduced payments from insurance companies and greater difficulty getting paid per a new study by Sterling.
Glendale, CA, September 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Sixty-three percent of healthcare practice owners are worried about the negative effects of Obamacare on their practices per a survey conducted by Sterling consulting group (http://www.sterling.us). The recently-completed study was conducted on doctors in private practice around the U.S.
“The doctors we contacted expressed definite concerns about their ability to survive under the mandates of Obamacare,” says Sterling president Barbara Wilson. “To address their concerns and help them not just survive, but prosper, we are adding new consulting services and seminars on the subject.”
“I talk to healthcare practice owners all the time,” says Sterling service consultant Seth Watson. “Staff efficiency and productivity are always key concerns. The additional paperwork for insurance and compliance under Obamacare will only add to the practitioner’s difficulties in achieving a smoother-running, more efficient practice.”
The study of healthcare practice owners also revealed:
82% anticipate lower payment rates from insurance companies
82% are concerned about additional record-keeping and accounting work to prove compliance
62% expect it will take longer to get reimbursed by insurance companies
