Welcoming the "Denims & Diamonds" to Atlanta for the Georgia Diabetes Coalition Annual Reception
Atlanta, GA, October 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Georgia Diabetes Coalition (www.GDCToday.org) now three weeks away from the long awaited annual Denim & Diamonds Community Awards Reception has just released their new website. The new website not only is cleaner and crisper, if offers visitors a seamless online tour to learn more about this nearly 11 year old organization.
The GDC was formed as the advisory arm to the Georgia Diabetes Prevention and Control Program (DPCP). Shortly there after, the community needs for education, resources and services grew rapidly resulting in the organization officially incorporating in 2005. Since then, the GDC has developed programs and services for the Diabetic community.
On October 3rd, 2013 at 5pm, the Georgia Diabetes Coalition and its 90 plus direct members will acknowledge and celebrate community supporters, partners and sponsors at the annual "Denim & Diamonds" Awards Reception. Event Emcee, Mr. Chris Gloss, international speaker and author will orchestrate the evening. Mr. Chris Gloss, having a mother diagnosed with diabetes is familiar with the sequela associated with this ailment.
The "Denim & Diamonds" Community Awards Reception is being held at The Emory Conference Center Hotel inside of The Silverbell Pavilion located at 1615 Clifton Road Atlanta, GA 30329. At 5pm doors will open and the event will commence. Nominations for award recipients are well underway. Awardee's will fall into one of the five prestigious community award categories & be presented with the dedicated plaque.
The GDC has implemented heavy marketing including interviews, social media marketing and promotional partners. GDC is actively scheduling radio, television and magazine interviews leading up to the event. The community awards reception is open to the public and encouraged to register for this prestigious annual event. Tickets are on sale for $25 pp advance purchase and $30 pp at the door. Proceeds from the reception will go to the Georgia Diabetes Coalition for continued access to services, support and resources for the diabetic community and their families.
