Harrison College Expands Corporate Partnerships Division with Hiring of Ricardo Martin
Private Sector College Expands Partnership Development Outreach with the Hiring of Experienced Business Development Professional
Indianapolis, IN, September 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Harrison College, a private sector college serving more than 4,000 students worldwide, has announced that Ricardo Martin has joined the college’s corporate partnerships division in a new position focusing on partnership development. In this position, Martin will assist in coordinating networking events, with the purpose of recruiting future students and informing prospective corporate partners and business professionals of the many programs available at Harrison College. Additionally, Martin will be responsible for engaging various organizations and companies throughout the geographic area of Harrison College’s campuses, as well as designated regions and target industries for possible partnership initiatives.
Prior to transitioning to the corporate partnerships division, Martin was a business development specialist with Harrison College, where he engaged in various outreach initiatives, which included presentations to corporations and organizing external events. Before joining Harrison College, Martin served as an account supervisor for Hospitality Staffing Solutions in Indianapolis, where he was responsible for facilitating training and managing human resources for six hotels with 75 employees. Prior to that, Martin served in the admissions departments for two educational institutions, including the National University College Online, based in San Juan, Puerto Rico; and The Art Institute of Tampa, Fla. Martin has also served as general manager for Anytime Fitness in St. Petersburg, Fla.; and as manager of sales for the SLM Corporation, commonly known as Sallie Mae, where he managed the Sallie Mae Higher Education sales force, lending partners and project managers for seven years.
In addition to his depth of professional experience, Martin served in the Army National Guard Reserve in Indianapolis from 2000 to 2002; and in the United States Marine Corps in Camp Lejeune, N.C., from 1995 to 1999. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in business management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Indianapolis, and his professional associations include membership in the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, a nonprofit organization created to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development. He is also involved with the American Legion veterans’ organization and is a member of the Indy Chamber Hispanic Council.
