Julia Gauthier and Jason Steinbock of the Weidt Group to Speak at 2013 AIA Iowa Annual Convention
Energy Specialists Featured at Annual Convention for American Institute of Architects
Des Moines, IA, September 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Weidt Group®, an energy and software consulting firm, has announced that Julia Gauthier, principal and program manager, and Jason Steinbock, principal and senior energy analyst in the Des Moines office will speak at the 2013 AIA Iowa Annual Convention. The event will take place Thursday, Sept. 26 and Friday, Sept. 27 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center, located at 833 5th Ave.
Gauthier and Steinbock will lead a workshop titled Ongoing Performance: Feedback for Enhanced Energy Operations. At the workshop, participants will be able to examine financial and environmental feedback in the operational phases of a building through energy modeling and benchmarking while exploring a fresh method to approach achievement of greater energy savings in the ongoing operation of recently completed buildings.
Steinbock will also present at a session about window replacements, where he will discuss infiltration measurement showing impacts with five case studies, including one in Iowa. This session will explore the paybacks of window replacements for both energy and comfort, as well as reveal different energy modeling approaches for window replacements and options for measuring window air-infiltration in the field.
Steinbock, an ASHRAE Certified Building Energy Modeling Professional, leads the Measurement and Verification (M&V) team at The Weidt Group, providing services to verify energy performance goals have been met. As program manager with The Weidt Group, Gauthier is responsible for managing the implementation of the group’s consulting services for key clients in the area of demand-side management programs.
