With Holidays Nearing, No-Cost Workshop Aims to Help Palm Beach County Families Dealing with a Loved One’s Addiction Problem

Lake Park, FL, September 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- With the holiday season nearing, families struggling with a loved one’s addiction problem are looking for ways to help and cope during this often trying time. Empathic Recovery, a brand new intensive out-patient facility in Lake Park, Florida, is holding a free work shop called “Families with Addiction” that aims to address some of the most critical questions and concerns relating to addiction.

Are you enabling or helping? Are you part of the problem, or the solution? This workshop (the first of a three part series) focuses on helping families learn how to manage the difficulties brought on by a loved one’s addiction problem. Family members will gain a better understanding about the disease of addiction, how to heal as a family, and how to move forward with life while still loving those around you.

“We are a group of people who truly care and have an honest desire to serve the local community. We know how difficult dealing with addiction can be, especially during the holidays, and we want to help ease some of the pain for these families,” says Dr. Harriet Kiviat.

The workshop is being held this Saturday, September 21st at 10am at 1408 N. Killian Drive Suite 201 Lake Park, FL 33403. There is limited space available, so those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by email or phone to info@empathicrecovery.com or (561) 318-5954.
