The band changed directions and split in 2009. In the last four years, AshanteChanice has taken control of her sound and returned to her Funk/Rock/Electronica roots with the development of her latest project "VitAe Musique" meaning "Music Life."
This is a welcome departure for the Singer / Composer / Producer, both as a return to her musical origins, but as a connection with her loyal fan base who wished to hear her with more of an urban, soulful edge. The debut single "Way Down Low" is a hard driving yet languid dance / funk vocal tune, delving into the other side of the "Player" equation.
